Studies Suggest Pollution Is Linked to Heart Failure

The ones most susceptible to air pollution risks, though, were the individuals with a previous history of hypertension. This accounted for 30% of the participants. • Some missing information at the start of the study or its completion may have led to selection bias as around a quarter of the original respondents were not included in the final analysis.
• The focus was mainly on Danish female nurses, so it is difficult to generalise results to men.
